While always having a passion for photography, it wasn’t until the birth of my twins in 2006 that I decided to turn my passion into a hobby and now a career. I am all self-taught and educated myself through mentor-ships, online classes and good old fashioned experience! I absolutely LOVE each and every aspect of photography, from capturing that special moment or smile to hand- editing an image in Photoshop with my creative touch. I promise to put my heart and soul into each photograph I take of you and your loved ones.
Being a mother of 6, and a former preschool teacher, I know children. I can connect with them and laugh with them. I know what pregnancy feels like. I know the overwhelming love you have for your newborn baby, your toddler and your children. All of these personal experiences help me capture not only photographs, but treasured memories forever.
My photography style can be described as clean, soft and simple with a touch of vintage. I prefer to use natural backgrounds provided by nature and architecture compared to the use of props and backdrops. I am also a lover of warm, dreamy sun light and soft window light and like to use it to it's full advantage whether it be catch lights in the eyes, vintage haze or dramatic sun flare.
Other things that bring me joy...living by the sea and all it has to offer, the innocence of childhood, the color pink, the smell of coconut, inspirational quotes, coffee, Alaskan sunsets, crisp white sheets, and pink sprinkles...on everything!
