Stop, Breathe, Listen

My children's childhood is passing by as quickly as it came and everyday I panic that I am missing it, that I am not paying close enough attention and that this will be the last time there will ever be THIS moment, THIS hug, THIS snuggle time, THIS wilted dandelion boquet being offered to me in a tiny grubby fist.

I worry most of all, that I won't remember these moments and exactly how I felt during them and then I realize that I worry too much about the moment, and then the moment is gone. The only thing that helps is to grab my camera and try to capture it, to lean into that very moment, before it's too late. So, I allow my camera to gather up the goodness of childhood before it passes.
