Best Of 2013 ~ Go Vote!!!

Every year I have my “BEST OF” contest where my clients, blog readers and faithful followers can vote for what they think is the best photo of 2013. And while each year, I have the honor of naming several “Best Of” winners, there can only be one true BEST OF 2013 winner! There are also prizes!

There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, as well as an honorable mention. 

ALL winners will have their photo displayed on my blog and Facebook page banner as well as used in various promotional materials throughout the year!

1st place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate towards prints from their session!

all other winners will receive an 8x10 print of their winning image!

Voting works like this:
Voting will start today (Friday, January 10th) on my Facebook Page and will last through Saturday, January 25th  morning until 8:00am. Visit my “photos” section and find the albums listed “BEST OF 2013″. Click through and “like” your favorite photo! The photo with the most likes will be the winner and will be named this years BEST OF 2013 winner! Facebook will allow one vote (aka “like”) per person per photo, of course you can always vote once for each and every photo. And anyone can vote – so it’s likely that complete strangers will be voting for your photo! That’s cool because it leaves it open for everyone and anyone to participate.

The winners will be announced Saturday (the 25th of January) at NOON!
That means the likes/votes “tally” will be taken at 8:00am Alaska time and not a minute later. Any likes that come after our tally will not count.

How to make the most out of your likes/votes:
Share, share, post, share :) Share the album from my Facebook page and post it to your profile, share the album and post it to someone else‘s profile, post this blog on your profile to help people understand what’s at stake for the winners, and finally – have your friends/family share the album on their page to ask people to vote for you! In order for everyone to maximize their voting on Facebook, sharing is the key! And feel free to tag yourself in any photos :) That will make the picture show up on your profile and make it even easier for people to vote! The goal – get the most likes!!

The fine print (yes, there is always fine print!):
I had some pretty crazy experiences with my contest… namely, people getting nasty with comments and voting. We want everyone to remember that this contest is meant to be fun – so at any point that I feel voters/commenters have turned sour, I have the right to disqualify people and block people from being able to “vote/like” any photos.  And… in the event of a tie, I’ll have a tie-breaker round with a different photo from the same session – competing a second time, head to head.  Happy voting!!
